A. Below you will find the instructions to connect to the VPN. You will need to connect to the VPN if for example you connect to a network drive like the J:\ drive for file access, or need to print something from home to the office printer. However, if you do not need access to the J:\, or do not need to print to an office printer from a remote location then you do not need to connect to the VPN.
1. Connect to your home WIFI, or the WIFI that is available at your location.
a. Click on the WIFI symbol located in your system tray. Your system tray is located next to the clock/date in the lower left hand area of your screen.
b. Once you are connected click on the WIFI Symbol again. You will see and option at the top of the WIFI box that says FWF-Centreville_L2TP-VPN. See Image below.
c. The following window pictured below will then popup.
d. Click on the FWF-Centreville_L2TP-VPN option.
e. Click the Connect option.
f. The following window will popup. Be sure that all of the following highlighted areas are filled out accordingly. (NOTE: Your username is just your first initial and last name. do not include @fwresult.com in the username field. Your password is the password you use to login to your computer.)
g. Click on the connect button at the bottom of the the window. You should now be connected to the FW VPN.
